New to Pennsylvania's wide array of reenacting and living history events is Schaefferstown's WWII Weekend. The event will be held July 14th & 15th at the Historic Schaeffer Farm in honor of the town's 222 men and women who served their country during WWII.
The event will include two days of period encampments, military vehicles, weapons demonstrations, swing dance performances, and reenactment battles replicating combat during Operation Cobra in the Normandy hedgerows of July 1944. The event will also feature a Veterans Headquarters where local WWII veterans will be present to share their war stories, as well as a Roll Call in honor of all of Schaefferstown's WWII veterans. Admission is free to all members of the public!

Reenactors: General registration is listed below, and it is free! A confirmation email will be sent to verify your registration. A signed copy of the Event Rules is required at the event check-in for each and every attending reenactor. For those who wish to participate in the public battle, your group must have their own insurance OR you must sign the liability waiver which you can download and print ahead of time, or it will be provided at check in. Those not participating in the battle do not need to have insurance to attend as living historians.
