East Penn Reenactors Group is looking for enthusiastic and like-minded living historians to join our ranks! We are actively recruiting experienced reenactors and living historians as well as individuals who are new to the hobby all together. We are looking primarily for men between the ages of 17 and 36 to accurately reflect the age and appearance of the American G.I. in WWII, with 17 being the youngest age allowed due to this being the youngest age at which one could legally enlist with parental consent. There is no set age for "aging out" of the group, we just ask that as individuals we all be mindful of how there will come a time when each of us will no longer look to be of fighting age, and that when that time comes, that we look to different impressions or roles within the realm of living history that better suits our age and our abilities as older men.
We are also looking for individuals who are eager to challenge themselves to learn about the experience of the American G.I. and interpret that learned experience to the best of their ability to small and medium - sized public audiences. We hope that each of our members are able to make as many of our scheduled events as possible, however there is no standing obligation for attending a minimum amount of events per year.
New members will be considered "prospective members" through their first three events, after which the group's general body of members will vote whether or not to admit a prospective member to full and permanent membership.
If you are sincerely interested in becoming a member, please take the time to fill out the prospective member survey below. Our group's leadership will then get in touch with you to continue the conversation about becoming a member of our organization.
