The following impression guideline was researched and compiled by GGLHAfor the Mid Atlantic Air Musuem's WWII Weekend 2022. This program and impression were presented as a combined effort to tell the story of the Cross of the Lorraine in the after math of the Battle for Cherbourg and their actions at La Haye du Puits.

Rations: Early to Mid War TypesC, K, and D rations appear to be the most commonly used rations by the 79th ID at this time due to their calorie count and shipping cases. A and B rations were available at times so PLEASE BRING MESS KITS. Local French food items that were in season for early July are also appropriate and may be used to supplement the Army rations you may bring.
